The door to our hearts keeps our secrets safe inside...

And Love safely outside...

We all have them. None are immune. Things or feelings that we are ashamed of. We dare not share them with others and many times we even hide them from ourselves. Some are so dangerous that even we hide from what we have hidden.

Secrets...

Fear is the iron door in which we shut in all the ugly, crazy, dejected parts of ourselves and swallow the key. It my be a hard key to swallow, but the thought that someone may find it keeps us choking it all the way down.

We just know - that if someone were to see everything behind that door or maybe even just that "ONE" thing, we would be totally and utterly rejected.

Some have been storing up their shame and guilt for so long that the door is literally about to fly off its hinges.

With all our "self-reproach" safely locked in, we can go about our lives with plastic smiles and fake laughter. We can go about the busyness of life. Doing all the things that life requires and even doing it well, but eventually, many will suffer from migraines, stomach disorders, anger issues, depression, anxiety, high blood pressure etc...

The hidden "secrets" that we have pushed and shoved behind our door have become a stone in our hearts. A black place, that we can try and deny even exists, but your inner being always knows it's there. We are so afraid of that stone that we will keep ourselves in a continual mode of distractions and busyness for fear that any quietness may cause us to feel undesirable dark emotions. We will run to a variety of drugs to try and medicate ourselves into fuzzy, deadened, pain.

There is only one way to eradicate ourselves from this dilemma and be finally be free! There is only one way for us to fully heal and be whole. There is only one way for us to be completely real with ourselves and our most authentic with others. We must do the exact thing we have feared to do... we need to open the door!

We need to open the door of our hearts and allow Light and Love to consume the darkness and melt the stone!

We may not trust others with our secrets or even ourselves, but there is someone in whom we may open the door to and share all of our deepest, darkest secrets with. He is ever present at your door waiting on you to unlatch your lock and allow Him in.

He will not judge or condemn you. Our friends might....our loved ones might... but He never will. "For God did not send His Son in the world to condemn the world but to save the world through Him." (John 3:17)

Maybe you have been told that God will punish, but He does not come to us to punish us. He comes to Love, Save and Protect us. He longs to bind our wounds and heal our broken hearts and to ignite in us a Love we thought only existed in fairy tales. True Love. Without expectations. It is a Love we can not find here. This Love can only come from God and he patiently awaits to wrap his Love around you and sweep all the fear, shame and guilt out of your heart... no matter how ugly or how profane...He sweeps it clean and prepares a feast. He Loves you and He is a God that will never leave or forsake you...

Once you open your door...

"Behold! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him and he with me." (Revelations 3:20)
